February 2026 marks LABRE's (The Brazilian equivalent of the ARRL) 92nd anniversary since its foundation and its continuous dedication to the Brazilian amateur radio community.
To commemorate this historic milestone, the league is promoting a nationwide special event activation, inviting radio amateurs from Brazil and around the world to take part in this major commemorative operation.
Activation period: February 1st to 28th, 2026
For 28 days, the airwaves will be buzzing with special event callsigns representing all regions of Brazil, reinforcing the spirit of fellowship, operational excellence, and friendship that has always characterized LABRE.
The event modes are: SSB, CW, digital modes, and satellite communications, operating on HF bands on 160, 80, 40, 30, 20, 17, 15, 12, and 10 meter bands, as well as using LEO satellites on 2 m and 70 cm (144 and 430 MHz) and the QO-100 satellite (2.4 / 10 GHz).
There is no need to upload any contact logs, all is tracked via the live status tracker (link below).
These are the available awards:
5 QSO - Participation award
30 QSO - Bronze award
40 QSO - Silver award
50 QSO - Gold award
Top Chaser will get a special award!

ARRL has launched the America250 Worked All States (WAS) year-long event, calling on amateur radio operators worldwide to make contact with all 50 US states in honor of America’s 250th anniversary. ARRL will produce an achievement award for radio amateurs who meet the challenge.
Every week there are multiple stations in several States operating under the callsign W1AW/x (x representing a number from 0 to 9). All bands and modes are being used. Work these stations and collect States for your WAS award. No need to send special logs, just upload your log in ADIF format to LoTW for ARRL to track your progress.

Every year we have the large collection of State QSO Parties, typically starting in February and going all year long into October. Every single one is a lot of fun, and to multiply the fun, we can also combine results and participate in the State QSO Party Challenge.
To qualify for the challenge, one must make at least TWO QSOs in at least TWO SQP contests. But, of course, the more the merrier!
